About The Radiant Spectrum

The Radiant Spectrum (TRS) is a Music Education Centre that conducts music lessons and academic tuition for children with special needs in Singapore. Our teachers specialise in working with children aged 2 – 16 with a wide range of diagnoses such as children who are non-verbal, selectively mute, with ADHD, or on the autism spectrum. Get to know our dedicated educators better here!

We understand that each student is unique and has their own learning needs. These needs and behaviours are first identified during the Trial Assessment and subsequent Music Lessons follow a highly customisable in-house curriculum to maximise each child/s learning potential. Our educators employ various types of learning supports and routine building during lessons (Read: 3Vs of Developing Effective Tasks for Children with Special Needs, Using Work Systems for Children with Special Needs).

Our Story

Principal and Founder, Samantha, has over decade of experience in conducting music lessons and spent the latter half focusing on special needs children. (Read: How I Began Teaching Autistic Children) During this time, she saw how learning to play an instrument greatly benefited the development of her special needs students and provided them with a meaningful lifelong skill. (Read: Why is the Piano Suitable for Children with Autism?). Inspired by her students, TRS was born with the aim to provide SPED students access to wholesome and suitable music education.

Camilla Raj

“Teacher Samantha is able to customise her teaching resources to the child’s interests and more importantly, she is patient and encouraging.”
