18th July was an exciting day for The Radiant Spectrum family! We hosted our first online concert starring our Radiant Child, Andrew! It’s inspiring to know that Andrew had only started music lessons less than a year ago, and today he was going to hit a new milestone by performing at his first concert.
It has been a privilege to see how much Andrew has grown since first joining our school in August 2020. His mother had been encouraging him to pick up music but he wasn’t displaying much interest. We began lessons with no heavy expectations and just wanted Andrew to enjoy himself. Within a few short months, our ‘not-so-interested’ Andrew began to grow into a confident and vibrant pianist, beaming a contagious smile after each piece he plays! Andrew’s dedication, pace of learning and natural ability continued to impress us. Soon he began composing his own music, which we would explore and further develop in our lessons. In June, he passed his ABRSM Grade 1 exam with Distinction! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It was heartwarming to see Andrew’s performance inspiring other students and new friendships being formed. The concert was a wonderful way to celebrate The Radiant Spectrum family and an acknowledgment of Andrew’s hard work.
