The Radiant Spectrum is proud to present our annual Christmas concert, Wish Upon A Star, a heartwarming celebration of the season and the talents of our students. This year, we wanted to create a concert that truly reflects the inspiring stories we’ve heard from our students.
This special evening will feature 15 performers from our community, each sharing personal stories about their dreams, the challenges they’ve faced, and the joy of working towards those dreams.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Mdm. Halimah Yacob, as our Guest of Honour. Mdm Halimah served as the eighth, and first female President of Singapore, from 2017 to 2023.
Mdm Halimah has dedicated her time to many social causes, lending her voice to the disadvantaged and less fortunate. Her contributions resonate deeply with us.
Chapter 1: My Wish Upon a Star
In this chapter, we explored the dreams and aspirations of our students.
One of our performers, Liam, a talented boy with perfect pitch, played his unique arrangement of the classic piece, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer 🎄
One of our performers, Gan Ann, had been looking forward to his performance for over a year. His dedication and excitement could be felt through his performance piece, New Horizons 🌠
Chapter 2: Weathering the Storm
In this chapter, we uncovered the struggles our students and their caregivers face.
Our students Vernon and his twin brother Victor, gave a heartwarming speech about their mother and their appreciation for her efforts 💌
One of our multitalented performers, Aziel, sang Smile by Charlie Chaplin, a song about resilience, alongside playing the piece Everything Will Be Ok on the piano 🎤
Chapter 3: Joy is All Around Us
In this chapter, we celebrated the courage and strength of our students.
One of our teachers, Sabitha, who also has autism, gave a joyous performance of classic Christmas songs like Mistletoe and A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Sabitha has always dreamt of being a teacher 💫
One of our students, Chuan Chen, who has cerebral palsy, performed The Prayer. Despite her condition affecting her physiology, she courageously strives to overcome her difficulties and pursue her love for music 🌟
